Wet Magnetic Drum Separator

Description:

Wet drum magnetic separator is used for the recovery of magnetic particles, removing magnetic components from the slurry, and discharging magnetic concentrate from one end and non-magnetic components from tailings, usually located on one side of the separator.

Wet drum magnetic separators are more effective than dry drum separators because water is a good medium for dispersing solids, which makes the surface area of the magnet more consistent with the surface area of the magnet, thereby improving the recovery rate of magnetic particles.

The type of wet drum separator seen is a low-strength wet drum separator used for recycling high magnetic materials. The magnetic field of a drum is usually 600 to 1000 Gauss. Wet high-intensity magnetic separators are also used for paramagnetic materials, with magnetic field strengths ranging from 7000 Gauss (drum) to 20000 Gauss (electromagnetic drum).
