MKS Baratron ® Single ended pressure switch(41C)
The 41C single ended 10-26000 Torr pressure switch provides accurate and reliable protection for vacuum/pressure processes. These switches are designed for applications that do not require DC signal output, providing relay outputs that can be easily connected to alarms, valve actuators, computers, process controllers, load locks, and other protective devices. 41C is the reference atmospheric pressure. The trigger point can be set to be above, below (reverse calibration), or just triggered at the current atmospheric pressure.

Baratron ® Capacitive pressure gauge technology
Capacitive pressure gauge is an electromechanical pressure gauge that can measure pressure and vacuum. The capacitance meter converts the pressure modulated motion in the thin diaphragm into an electrical signal proportional to the pressure. A pressure sensor is a thin diaphragm exposed to pressure or vacuum measured through an inlet tube. The electrode is installed in the reference chamber behind the diaphragm. The pressure difference between the process and the reference chamber causes the diaphragm to slightly deflect, changing the distance between the diaphragm and the electrode. The change in distance will cause a change in capacitance between the diaphragm and the electrode, resulting in an electrical signal proportional to the pressure change. Due to the fact that the difference in capacitance signals is caused by physical changes within the pressure gauge, rather than changes in gas characteristics, the pressure measurement of the capacitance pressure gauge is independent of the composition of the measured gas.

Fault safety relay operation
41、42、51 and52 The relay mode on the switch can be set to power on when it is above or below the set point. If the device loses power, the relay will switch to the normally closed position. Users can indicate whether the normally closed position is above or below the set point. Taking electricity above the set point as an example, when the pressure is higher than the trip point, the relay is in the normally open position, while when the pressure is lower than the trip point, the relay is in the normally closed position. For“Electricity below the set point”Option, the situation is exactly the opposite. In a vacuum system, fail safe operation refers to the situation where if the system loses power and the relay loses power, the relay will be in the same state as the high voltage state. Therefore, most vacuum systems require relays to be energized when the pressure drops or falls below the set point.
