Because it is important for users to control their UPS devices, Solution PacTM software achieves this through the RS 232 interface and U-Talk option board.

(2) Local and remote management of Solution PacTM software

Most advanced communication software (including SNMP management software, implementing interrupt multi work platform servers, etc.) are usually purchased as options from manufacturers. Solution PacTM software is a standard accessory for UPS. If equipped with RS 232 communication interface and U-Talk option board, the software provides the following functions: connect UPS to server (UM agent); Remote monitoring of UPS performance (UM Console); Automatically stop one or multiple servers (UM Client) on multiple work platforms; Complete advance alarm on SNMP management platform.

UM Switch is used to improve power continuity: When the mains power is interrupted, UPS sets different battery discharge times for the four sockets on the UM Switch module, providing several hours of backup time for critical network equipment (servers, hubs, routers, etc.).
UM Switch is fully SNMP compatible and can be managed using Comet's standard Solution PacTM software. The combination of several UM Switch modules can increase the number of protective sockets.
