Longmen style ultrasonic testingThe system design is suitable for harsh production environments and has a high detection speed. Meanwhile, this equipment is particularly suitable for offline inspection of steel pipes. It includes a detection gantry and a probe frame detection system. Steel pipes are usually fed by a stepper mechanism. When the steel pipe reaches the detection position, the rotating roller drives the steel pipe to start rotating. The number of probe holders is determined based on the required production and respective detection tasks. The probe holder moves straight to the position of the steel pipe, and at the 12 o'clock position, the probe holder falls down and begins detection. The rotation of the steel pipe and the parallel movement of the probe holder combine to form a spiral detection trajectory, thereby achieving full coverage of the steel pipe body.

If a straight probe is used to detect the interlayer of ERW pipes (high-frequency resistance welded pipes), in addition, wall thickness measurement function can also be set. The typical inspection for seamless pipes is longitudinal defect detection. The longitudinal detection probes are arranged in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Some standards also require testing for transverse injuries. In this case, the lateral detection probe is arranged in the axial direction of the steel pipe.
