The Slope Tear Test or Baumann Tear Test measures the tear strength in the IUP 8 method by tearing a leather sample with grooves at a fixed speed of 100 ± 20mm/min. This standard method only requires measuring the maximum force. The device of the physical property tester (physical property analyzer, texture analyzer) can further measure the average tear force, maximum and minimum tear force, and the peak mean of the maximum 10 and minimum 10 and the mean of complete tear can also be automatically measured. |
