Innovative Aegis technology - protect your LCR bridge

The LCR Elite2 adopts Aegis technology, which is the solution we are applying for to automatically protect the bridge from damage caused by live components.

Traditional LCR bridges are often susceptible to the high voltage and current of the tested components. In many cases, the tested components store energy, such as charged capacitors or charged circuit boards. LCR bridge damage caused by energy in components is a common problem, which also leads to expensive and time-consuming repairs.

Aegis technology has solved this problem. It provides overvoltage protection up to+/-48Vdc (DC or peak). In normal operation, due to its low parasitic parameter design, it appears transparent and does not affect the measurement results. When an abnormal voltage is applied to the test terminal of the bridge, whether positive or negative, Aegis technology will immediately detect and automatically disconnect it from the bridge. The message 'Over Volt' will be displayed on the screen to remind the user to discharge the tested component. To restore the LCR Elite2 to normal operating mode, simply remove the bridge from the tested component and press the navigation button. No components will be damaged, and there is no need to replace the fuse.

LCR bridge with precise and self calibration function

The LCR Elite2 adopts a more advanced chipset and algorithm, greatly improving measurement accuracy. Its basic accuracy for resistance and capacitance is 0.2%, and for inductance it is 0.4%. Each bridge undergoes * calibration during the production process and comes with a traceable calibration certificate from NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).

LCR Elite2 provides self calibration function, which can be completed with only two probes, short circuit and open circuit. This process should not exceed 30 seconds. Self calibration can significantly reduce the parasitic parameters inside and outside the bridge, thereby achieving higher accuracy. It is particularly suitable for measuring smaller resistors, capacitors, or inductors, as the measurement results of these components are greatly affected by parasitic parameters.
