The multipole rod ion lens enhances focusing and reduces ion loss, resulting in a 5-fold increase in the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of Levofloxacin. These improvements can also enhance the sensitivity of scanning modes, thereby expanding the application areas of LC/MS. | |

| The design of LCMS-8040 retains the ultra-high speed of LCMS-8030 while achieving higher sensitivity improvement. By combining Shimadzu's UFsweeperTM collision chamber technology, high-precision quadrupole performance, and unique high-voltage power technology, ultra fast MRM ion pair collection can be achieved, up to 555 MRMs/sec. In addition, LCMS-8040 has the ability to switch positive and negative polarities up to 15msec. Through these fast performances, LCMS-8040 will significantly improve the throughput of analysis. | |

The optimized MRM conditions on LCMS-8030 can be transferred to LCMS-8040. The methods on both instruments can be shared.
