LB-LD Street Lamp Cable Fault TesterThe "Low Voltage Cable Fault Instrument" is a new generation of fault instrument carefully designed and developed by Shanghai Xuji Electric Co., Ltd. for "operation faults of street light cables and low-voltage power cables". It is mainly used to solve the problems of short circuit, open circuit faults, dead grounding faults of buried power cables, and the difficulty of locating the fault point by applying high voltage to discharge and listen to sound when the fault point is damp.
This instrument utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction in its design to achieve various functions, which is different from the previous fixed-point method of forcing the fault point to discharge and listen to the sound volume. Therefore, it does not require a boosting device, ensuring personal safety. During operation, the instrument can sense electromagnetic waves from the fault point at a distance of 20-30 meters, and automatically guide the cable path and indicate the direction of the fault point. The point where the pointer direction of the meter head changes is the fault point. It makes the originally tedious and complex fault location work very easy, especially suitable for field operations, greatly facilitating users, improving work efficiency, and reducing labor intensity.
The LB-LD cable fault detector consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter emits a continuous radio signal, and the receiver receives this signal while synchronously testing the location of the cable fault point, cable burial path, and burial depth. A large number of on-site experiments have proven that compared to traditional methods of searching for fault points by listening to sound during high-voltage discharge, it is not affected by various factors such as external noise and can quickly locate the fault point, resulting in a tenfold increase in work efficiency. In actual production and life, the number of low-voltage cables is much greater than that of high-voltage cables. At the same time, due to the shallow burial depth and low insulation requirements, the failure rate of LB-LD is much higher than that of high-voltage cables. The performance of LB-LD is just suitable for the use and fault characteristics of low-voltage cables. At the same time, it is affordable, easy to operate and carry, and practicalstrong.
In addition, this instrument is particularly suitable for single core cable grounding and disconnection faults that cannot be solved by the 'flash method', with accurate and fast positioning, and errors measured in centimeters.
