The technical development of the J200 femtosecond laser ablation sampling system (LA) was carried out by researchers from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States. The development concept is to simplify and speed up elemental chemical analysis, standardize measurement results, and make the analysis process green. The equipment adopts an automatic height adjustment sensor, which is designed to take into account the morphological changes on the sample surface. This feature enables the system to maintain standard laser focusing, provide the same laser flux at all sampling points regardless of height differences, and achieve consistent laser ablation at all sampling points.

Product features and advantages:
1. Laser pulse amplification generates sufficient laser energy to improve quantum efficiency, reduce heat loss, and enable more effective laser ablation;
2. The assembly method is simple and convenient for regular cleaning of gas pipelines. The system has an advanced micro gas collection pipe design, consisting of stainless steel and copper;
3. The sample chamber can also provide a suitable viewing angle for plasma light, ensuring sensitive LIBS detection during laser ablation process;
4. Digital mass flow controller and electronic control valve for the transportation of argon, helium, and supplementary gases;
5. The preset configuration can choose to transport argon, helium, or supplementary gas;
6. The J200 femtosecond laser ablation sampling system can provide a wide-angle field of view and high magnification imaging to study fine areas in a standardized manner;
7. Can be equipped with two LIBS detectors for simultaneous LIBS and LA-ICP-MS analysis;
8. Featuring an intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interface, it can browse different sample areas and establish flexible laser sampling schemes;
9. Analysts can design any laser sampling mode on the sample image, including grating lines, curves, straight lines, random points, grids of any size, or pre programmed modes;
10. The system using long laser pulses will undergo various thermal processes, changing the quantity and chemical composition of the eroded sample, such as altering thermal characteristics, without the need for highly matched standard materials, and can also perform high-precision LA-ICP-MS measurements.

The J200 femtosecond laser ablation sampling system (LA) can be used in conjunction with common mass spectrometers such as ordinary quadrupole mass spectrometers, time-of-flight mass spectrometers, and multi receiver mass spectrometers on the market. Dr. Russo founded ASI company in 2004 to vigorously produce and develop this equipment, dedicated to the application and development of laser-induced plasma spectroscopy and ablation technology in the field of chemical analysis. Currently, femtosecond laser source technology has been applied in the medical field for laser vision correction surgery and cataract surgery. The J200 femtosecond laser ablation sampling system improves the reliability of femtosecond laser source technology to a new height, and the system adopts an automatic height adjustment sensor, which is designed to consider the morphological changes on the sample surface.
