There are many types of electric boilers, which are generally classified according to the form of electric heating elements, including resistance type, electrode type, and electric film type.
Resistive type
A resistance type electric boiler uses high impedance tubular electric heating elements. After the power is connected, the tubular electric heating elements generate high heat to turn water into hot water or steam. The tubular electric heating element of an electric boiler consists of a stainless steel metal shell, electric heating wire, and magnesium oxide. The advantages of this component are rapid heating, safe use, and no pollution to water quality. The increase in capacity of this electric boiler relies on the number of tubular electric heating elements, and the boiler load is adjusted according to the number of put into operation. Therefore, the capacity of this boiler is limited by the arrangement of the electric heating element structure. Electric heating boilers use metal tubular electric heaters to heat water and directly convert electrical energy into thermal energy (producing hot water or steam). There is no need to convert chemical energy into heat energy through combustion, which means there is no need to supply the air and fuel required for combustion, and no harmful gases or ash are emitted, fully meeting environmental requirements.
electrode type
The working principle of electrode type components is to insert electrodes into water and utilize the high thermal resistance characteristics of water to directly convert electrical energy into thermal energy, with almost no energy loss during this conversion process. Electrode type components are generally 10KV high-voltage electrodes. Electrode type boilers operate very safely and do not experience dry burning. Because once the boiler loses water, the path between the electrodes is cut off, the electrical power is zero, and the boiler automatically stops running. But the cost is expensive.
Electric film type
Electric film heating technology is a new technology developed in recent years, which has higher heating efficiency than similar electric heating, but the production process is complex and the operating environment requirements are high. The principle is to spray a semiconductor film (metal oxide) of microsphere electric heating material on the surface of a quartz tube to achieve electric heating conversion. Its characteristics are wide range of use, long service life, high adhesion to the substrate, strong resistance to thermal shock damage, and suitable for a variety of substrate materials.
