Product Introduction

The working principle of the thermocouple is based on the Seebeck effect. Mainly used to measure the temperature of molten steel and high-temperature molten metals. Rapid temperature measurement thermocouples are used in major, medium and small steelmaking plants, and are used to measure the temperature of liquid steel in front of, after the furnace and large, medium and small steel bags. They have fast response speed and high measurement rate.

The Immersion Thermocouple is a high-precision temperature sensor designed specifically for direct immersion into molten metals and other high-temperature materials. Engineered for rapid and reliable thermal response, this type of thermocouple is  used in the steel, foundry, non-ferrous metals, and metallurgical industries widely. Its robust design, high accuracy, and disposable or reusable configurations make it a critical tool for process control in extreme environments.

Product performance and features

1. Accurate temperature measurement and high accuracy. Error range: ±3℃

2. Fast response speed, short measurement time, convenient and safe operation.

3. Production using International Practical Temperature Standards (IPTS) 68 and (ITS) 90, it is compatible with the  used instruments and systems on the market commonly and interchangeable.

4. Complete product types, tungsten rhenium (Wre3/25), R type (Pt/Rh13-Pt), S type (Pt/Rh10-Pt), and B type (Pt/Rh30-Pt/Rh6) are all available for customers to choose from

FAQ

Q1: How many times can an immersion thermocouple be used?

A1: Most immersion thermocouples are single-use, especially in molten metal applications. Reusable options are available upon request.

Q2: What materials are used for the tip?

A2: Typically, platinum-rhodium alloys are used due to their stability at high temperatures.

Q3: Can it be customized?

A3: Yes. We offer custom lengths, protection tubes, and connectors based on your operational needs.

Q4: Is it compatible with my existing immersion lance?

A4: Yes, our products are designed to fit most standard immersion lances and readers used in the industry.

Q5: How fast does it respond?

A5: It provides accurate readings within 3–5 seconds of immersion.
