1、 Operating principle

High temperature foam analyzer FOAMSCAN HTMP generates foam by injecting gas (air, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc.) into liquid through pore glass with controllable flow. At the beginning of the experiment, the foam rose into the cylindrical glass measuring tube, grew in the measuring tube, and then was analyzed by FOAMSCAN software. The liquid volume is measured by the vertical electrode at the bottom of the measuring tube, the real foam height and foam volume are obtained by real-time tracking and analyzing the foam image with a CCD camera, and the conductivity of foam is measured by four pairs of circular electrodes.

FOAMSCAN HTMP can also be equipped with a second cylindrical glass measuring tube with a prism, optionally equipped with BubbleStatistics software, to measure bubble size and distribution under atmospheric pressure and temperature conditions up to 90 ℃.

2、 Main components

High temperature foam analyzer usually consists of the following main parts: gas injection base for air blowing method, three wall cylindrical glass measuring tube, electric cabinet and program control system, light source, main CCD camera, automatic cleaning system, gas connection port, FOAMSCAN software, etc.


3、 FOAMSCAN software

Measurement, data collection, storage, analysis, and display are 100% controlled by software.

The foam volume (ml) is calculated by image analysis, the liquid volume (ml) is measured by conductivity, the foam conductivity (µ S) is measured by conductivity, and the gas volume (ml) is injected by the mass flow controller, which is related to the gas flow rate at time t.
