Raptor, a British company, recently launched a new EMCCD camera Kestrel 1000, which is an upgraded version of Kestrel This camera can provide ultra-low readout noise, with a full frame output of 1000fps, and a maximum frame rate of 1800fps when operating in ROI mode. The Kestrel 1000 adopts a frame transfer back illuminated sensor with a maximum resolution of 128x128 and a pixel size of 24 µ m, which can obtain the best image in low light high-speed imaging applications. The quantum efficiency of Kestrel 1000 can reach 95%, and the digital output format is 16 bit Camera Link output to achieve low latency real-time imaging.
