Hengshler photoelectric encoderA fiber optic resonant gyroscope consists of three fiber optic circuits in total. A beam of light is emitted from a laser diode with a very small bandwidth towards one end of an optical fiber. At the same time, the end of the fiber is wound back to the starting end and coupled with the fiber at the starting end through an optical coupler, forming a circuit with light passing through in both directions. In the middle of this circuit, there is another optical coupler that couples * circuits with the second fiber ring. The Hengsler photoelectric encoder also has a third optical coupler on the opposite side of the second fiber ring to achieve coupling between the second fiber ring and the third fiber loop. The third fiber optic circuit is an open-loop circuit with both ends connected to the detector. If all circuits and couplers in this system are fixed and the two couplers are located exactly at the symmetry point of the circuit in the second fiber optic circuit, the Henssler photoelectric encoder will resonate with a specific wavelength of light.
Hengshler photoelectric encoderIn some newer telescopes, precision electromagnetic switches are also used as encoding for axial angular positions, with a repeatability accuracy of about 1 micrometer. In this design, a precision electromagnetic switch is installed every 10 or 15 degrees. Between each precision electromagnetic switch, incremental encoders can be used, and even friction surfaces can be used to drive a low-level incremental encoder. This design has lower costs compared to other designs. All types of Hengshler photoelectric encoders need to be installed correctly in order to achieve their resolution accuracy. When the encoder is connected to the shaft, it is crucial to avoid applying any force or torque on the encoder shaft. Therefore, the coupling of the encoder should have relatively low strength in the axial and radial directions, but high strength in the circumferential direction.
Hengshler photoelectric encoderIt is a processing circuit composed of digital circuits, which uses Schmitt input inverters, XOR gates, OR gates, and D flip flops. Use dashed lines to separate the waveforms for forward and reverse rotation. It can be seen that the circuit generates a 4-fold counting signal and a directional signal. By combining these signals with positioning pulses, the electronic circuit can determine the position of the motion system by counting the pulses. The Hengsler photoelectric encoder can use a counter to increment when the shaft rotates in one direction and decrement when it rotates in the opposite direction, so as to maintain the memory of the position without losing power. The basic principle is to obtain the binary digital signal of the angular position through photoelectric elements by dividing the light and dark stripes into different equal parts, and then decode it to obtain the value or relative value of the angular position. The code shape of the encoder is always the same, which gives the position of length or angle.
