As the usage time prolongs, impurities in the water will clog the filter element, and the activated carbon filter element will become saturated with adsorption. So, generally speaking, PP filter cartridges need to be replaced after 3 months, while activated carbon filter cartridges need to be replaced after 6 months. Hollow fibers, due to their inability to be cleaned, are usually placed at the back end of PP cotton and activated carbon for use, otherwise they are more prone to clogging. If used as end sterilization equipment for water purification, they need to be replaced after 1-2 years. Ceramic filter cartridges can generally be used for 10-12 months, and good ceramic filter cartridges can be used for 3-5 years or even longer.

Filter maintenance:

1. The hydraulic oil filter element is the core part of the filter, which is composed of special materials and is a vulnerable part that requires special protection and maintenance.
2. After the filter in the system has been working for a period of time, the hydraulic oil filter element in the filter has intercepted a certain amount of pollutants and impurities. At this time, the pressure increases, the flow rate gradually decreases, and the transmitter will remind an alarm. At this time, it is necessary to clean the impurities in the filter element in a timely manner and clean the filter element.
During the process of cleaning the filter element, we must be careful not to deform or damage the hydraulic oil filter element. Otherwise, it cannot be reused to avoid affecting the filtration efficiency and causing damage to the entire system.

Filter replacement method:

During this process, water usually overflows. Please prepare cleaning tools such as a basin or towel:
a) Turn off the electroplated ball valve and pressure tank ball valve;
b) Open the goose neck to drain any remaining water from the pipeline;
c) After the water no longer flows out, use a filter wrench to open the filter housing containing the filter element;
d) Remove the old GE filter element and install a new filter element of the same specification;
e) Apply lubricant such as Vaseline to the black "O" ring above the filter housing, and then place the "O" ring into the groove in the filter housing.
f) Tighten the filter housing vertically and try to avoid shifting the "O" ring as much as possible.
g) Open the electroplated ball valve and pressure tank ball valve.
