HG-DL30G-Z1 Rotation Speed Sensor
Rotary speed sensors are divided into two types based on their installation form: contact type and non-contact type.
1. Contact type
A contact type rotary speed sensor is in direct contact with a moving object. When a moving object comes into contact with a rotating speed sensor, friction drives the roller of the sensor to rotate. The rotating pulse sensor installed on the roller sends out a series of pulses. Each pulse represents a certain distance value, allowing for the measurement of linear velocity.
The contact type rotational speed sensor has a simple structure and is easy to use. However, the diameter of the contact roller is always in contact with the moving object, and the outer circumference of the roller will wear out, thereby affecting the circumference of the roller. And the number of pulses is fixed for each sensor. Affects the measurement accuracy of sensors. To improve measurement accuracy, a compensation circuit must be added to the secondary instrument. In addition, contact type inevitably produces slip, and the existence of slip will also affect the accuracy of measurement.

2. Non contact type
Non contact rotary speed sensors have no direct contact with moving objects, and there are many principles of non-contact measurement. The following only introduces two points for reference.
(1) Photoelectric flow velocity sensor
The blade edge of the impeller is coated with a reflective film, which drives the impeller to rotate when the fluid flows. The optical fiber transmits the reflection once every rotation of the impeller, generating an electrical pulse signal. The flow rate can be calculated based on the number of detected pulses.
(2) Photoelectric wind speed sensor
The wind drives the anemometer to rotate, and through gear transmission, it drives the cam to rotate proportionally. The optical fiber is intercepted by a cam to form a series of light pulses, which are converted into a constant signal by a photoelectric tube and can be calculated to detect wind speed.
Non contact rotational speed sensors have a long lifespan and do not require additional compensation circuits. But the pulse equivalent is not an integer multiple of the distance, so the speed calculation is relatively complex.

Installation and usage methods:
(1) Arrangement of sensors
When measuring the vibration of the bearing seat (referred to as seat vibration), it is necessary to measure the vibration in three directions: vertical, horizontal, and axial. Therefore, the position of the sensor, that is, the arrangement of the measuring points, is shown in Figure 3.
(2) Fixing of sensors
For permanent measuring points, sensors adopt rigid mechanical connections, such as bonding, clamping, or fixing with bolts. It is necessary to ensure that the connection is firm, otherwise loose connection parts will produce false vibration signals.
When sensors are used for temporary monitoring, they should be equipped with magnetic seats made of permanent magnets and connected to the magnetic seats with bolts. During measurement, the magnetic seat is adsorbed onto the surface of the object being measured. The adsorption force of the magnetic seat can reach around 200N. The paint or grease at the measuring point will affect the suction force of the magnetic seat and needs to be cleaned.
When holding a sensor for measurement, the sensor should be tightly pressed onto the object being measured without shaking the hand, otherwise measurement may occur.
(3) Operating temperature of speed sensor
Generally below 120 ℃, excessive temperature can cause insulation damage and demagnetization of the sensor, resulting in reduced sensitivity. For high and medium pressure rotors, it is necessary to avoid direct flushing of sensors due to shaft seal leakage.
(4) Output line of speed sensor
There are two output lines: a signal line and a ground line. If these two wires are connected in reverse, it has no effect on the amplitude, but the phase difference is 180 °. If the data measured in this way is used for balance, the angle of emphasis will also differ by 180 °.
