1Gravity settling field flow separatorProduct Introduction
The thin pool diversion technology (SPLIT) of POSTNOVA's gravity field flow separator can be used for the separation of environmental (such as sediments, colloids), pharmaceutical/biotechnology (such as cells, biological particles), and other samples (such as jade powder, carbon black, silica, etc.). SPLIT separation technology can use gravity to control the particle size of separated particles by adjusting the flow rate of the upper and lower inlet mobile phases of the horizontally placed separation channel, achieving the separation of particles of different sizes. It can be used to complete continuous particle separation and preparation. There is neither a fixed phase nor a separation membrane in the separation channel of the gravity field flowmeter, and separation relies on the fluid mechanics properties of the mobile phase, without forming interaction or adsorption. Fast separation speed, capable of separating suspensions with higher concentrations, and able to quickly separate and obtain particles with narrower distribution sizes.

SPLIT is suitable for particle separation in the size range of 1-50 µ m. Its innovative but simple technology is based on fluid dynamics flow effects, without membranes, thus eliminating membrane interactions and adsorption problems.
You can flexibly choose the size cutoff for a given application, as it only depends on the inlet and outlet flow rates. Very fast and gentle particle separation, suitable for a wide range of suspension compositions and aqueous solutions.
