Experimental tips
A beaker is a reaction vessel used to prepare solutions, dissolve substances, and large amounts of substances without the need for room temperature or heating.
When adding time to the beaker, asbestos mesh should be placed on it to provide even heating. Cannot directly heat the beaker with flames. Because the bottom of the beaker is large, heating it directly with a flame can only burn to a local area, causing uneven heating of the glass and causing it to explode. When heating, the outer wall of the beaker must be wiped dry.
When used for dissolution, the amount of liquid should not exceed one-third of the capacity of the beaker, and gently stir with a glass rod. During the dissolution or dilution process, when stirring with a glass rod, do not touch the bottom or rim of the cup.
When heating a 3-liter liquid, do not exceed 2/3 of the volume. Generally, it is advisable to use 1/3 of the volume of the beaker.
When heating corrosive drugs, cover a surface dish with the mouth of the beaker to prevent the liquid from splashing out.
5. Do not use a beaker to hold chemicals for a long time to prevent them from falling into dust and causing the water in the solution to evaporate.
