CBN-E (F) 300 series gear pump

1. Application and characteristics of CBN-E300 gear pump in CBN-300 series gear pump:
The CBN-E300 series gear pump is a power component in hydraulic systems. This pump adopts high-precision gears, high-strength aluminum alloy shell, and floating shaft sleeve, which makes it have the advantages of simple structure, light weight, high efficiency, low noise, and reliable use. It is widely used in hydraulic systems such as automobiles, engineering machinery, lifting and transportation machinery, mining machinery, light industry machinery, agricultural machinery, and industrial automation.
Gear pumps play a very important role in industrial production processes. How can we improve the service life of gear pumps, maximize their effectiveness in production, and minimize their failure.
Firstly, in terms of material differentiation, gear pumps are mainly divided into ordinary cast iron gear pumps, stainless steel gear pumps, high-temperature gear pumps, and copper gear explosion-proof gear pumps. From the perspective of structure and performance, it can be divided into high-temperature gear pumps, insulation gear pumps, and magnetic drive gear pumps. Reasonable selection of materials for various components of gear pumps should be made for conveying different working conditions. In other words, when conveying different media, a gear pump should be selected based on the characteristics of the media. So, how can the service life of gear pumps be improved? Below, we will introduce the different classifications of gear pumps mentioned above one by one.
1. Cast iron gear pump
Cast iron gear pumps are mainly suitable for situations with lubricity, viscosity below 1500cst, medium without solid particles, and temperature below 80 ℃. In such high-quality working conditions, the service life of conventional gear pumps is relatively long, usually 3-5 years. As time goes by, the pressure of the gear pump will decrease, the flow rate will become smaller, and there will be leakage in the seal. In severe cases, it may not be able to pump oil. This situation is basically a normal wear and tear of the gear pump. Especially when transporting lubricating grease media, some media may not be very clean, and some may contain small particles such as residual oil, reused heavy or light fuels used in boiler combustion. If you want to improve the service life of gear pumps on the basis of conventional gear pumps, you must start from the following points:; (1) Replace the gear material of the gear pump, adjust it from the conventional 45 grade material to 40Cr material, and perform quenching and tempering treatment. (2) The thrust plate of the gear pump has been changed from cast iron material to cast steel material. (3) The shaft sleeve has been changed from the original steel backed composite sleeve to a stainless steel shaft sleeve or a silicon carbide shaft sleeve.
2. Stainless steel gear pump
The selection of stainless steel gear pumps mainly depends on the corrosion characteristics of the medium conveyed by the gear pump and the requirements for hygiene. The common problem with stainless steel gear pumps is that the material does not meet the standard, resulting in a short service life of the gear pump or it cannot be used at all. To improve the service life of stainless steel gear pumps, accurate selection should be made according to different working conditions, and secondly, the quenching and tempering treatment methods for each component should be reasonable.
3. High temperature gear pump
As the name suggests, a high-temperature gear pump is a gear pump that transports media with high temperatures. If the temperature of the gear pump is around 150 degrees, ordinary ductile iron can be selected. For temperatures between 150-250 degrees, cast steel material must be selected, and for temperatures above 250 degrees, stainless steel material must be selected. While selecting materials, the overall density of the castings or forgings must be ensured. It is recommended to choose forgings for processing high-temperature gear pumps. Generally, graphite packing, carbon fiber packing, high-temperature resistant mechanical seals, or corrugated pipe mechanical seals are commonly used for sealing.
