This instrument is easy to use and suitable for testing the hardness of soft metals, plastics, fiberglass, and leather.

To ensure that the indenter is perpendicular to the surface being tested, place the instrument on the sample, gently press the instrument, and let the spring-loaded indenter enter the material. The hardness reading will be immediately displayed on the dial. No need to wait, no need to assemble, and no need to measure separately.

There are three models in total

Elcometer 3101/1Model 934-1:
Suitable for soft metals such as aluminum and aluminum alloys, brass, copper, as well as some hard plastics and fiberglass. Roughly ranging from 25 to 150 Brinell (10 mm ball, 500 kg load) Load). Meets ASTM standard D2583.

Elcometer 3101/2Model 935:
Suitable for softer plastics and very soft metals

Elcometer 3101/3Model 936:
Suitable for extremely soft metals such as lead, oilcloth, and leather

To ensure that the Babbitt hardness tester is in calibration, multiple standard test disks are available. Please select a suitable test disk from the attached list to supplement the included disk.
