Gates 7401-0075 Double Row Belt Tension Gauge

1. It is recommended to use every 1/64 of the tangent length of the V-belt and synchronous belt as the downward deflection.
If the measured belt tension based on the above values is lower than the recommended minimum value, the belt should be tensioned.
3. For new belts, it is advisable to tension them according to the recommended maximum tension force in the table based on the deflection value
4. Concept of tension: The static installation tension of the belt is divided into two values: * small and * large. It is the key guarantee for the smooth start-up of the system. However, due to the elongation of the rope and wear of the belt and pulley after running for a period of time, the actual tension (effective tension) generated by the system during operation is a decreasing process over time.
5. Tension control principle for new belts and secondary installations: For new belts, they will stretch completely when stretched and will also stretch during a specific period of operation; For belts subjected to secondary tension, the belt will experience creep elongation. Therefore, when tensioning the new belt, take 1.5 times the recommended minimum value, and theoretically allow for a maximum of 2 times; For belts with secondary tension, take 1.1 to 1.3 times the recommended minimum tension value.
