A Y-shaped filter is a small device used to remove a small amount of solid particles from liquids, which can protect the normal operation of the equipment. When the fluid enters a filter cartridge with a certain specification of filter screen, its impurities are blocked, and the clean filtrate is discharged from the filter outlet. When cleaning is needed, simply remove the detachable filter cartridge, process it, and reinstall it. Therefore, it is extremely convenient to use and maintain. The Y-shaped filter, also known as a dirt remover or filter valve, is an indispensable device in the pipeline system for conveying media. Its function is to filter mechanical impurities in the medium, and can filter rust, sand particles, and small amounts of solid particles in the liquid in the sewage to protect the accessories on the equipment pipeline from wear and blockage, and to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Filter principle:
A Y-shaped filter is designed with one end to allow water and other fluids to pass through, and the other end to settle waste and impurities. It is usually installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valves, relief valves, constant water level valves, or other equipment to remove impurities from the water and protect the normal operation of valves and equipment. The water to be treated by the filter enters the body through the inlet, and impurities in the water deposit on the stainless steel filter screen, resulting in a pressure difference. By monitoring the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet through a differential pressure switch, when the pressure difference reaches the set value, the electronic controller sends signals to the hydraulic control valve and the driving motor, triggering the following actions: the motor drives the brush to rotate, cleaning the filter element, and at the same time, the control valve opens for sewage discharge. The entire cleaning process only lasts for a few tens of seconds. When the cleaning is completed, the control valve is closed, the motor stops rotating, and the system returns to its initial state, starting the next filtration process. After the installation of the equipment, technicians will debug it, set the filtration time and cleaning conversion time, and the water to be treated will enter the body through the inlet, and the filter will start working normally.

General principles for selection
1. Import and export diameter:
In principle, the inlet and outlet diameter of the filter should not be smaller than the inlet diameter of the matching pump, and generally consistent with the diameter of the inlet pipeline.
2. Nominal pressure:
Determine the pressure level of the filter based on the possible high pressure in the filtering pipeline.
3. Selection of pore size:
The main consideration is the particle size of impurities that need to be intercepted, depending on the process requirements of the medium flow. The particle size that can be intercepted by various specifications of wire mesh can be found in the table "Filter Screen Specifications".
4. Filter material:
The material of the filter is generally chosen to be the same as the material of the connected process pipeline. For different service conditions, filters made of cast iron, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, or stainless steel can be considered.
5. Filter resistance loss calculation
