Product Details

Instrument Introduction

MINIVAP VPS/VPSH is a universal desktop/portable modelFully automatic saturated vapor pressure testerIt is mainly used for fully automatic determination of vapor pressure, such as gasoline and gasoline oxygenated mixtures, gas containing crude oil and deaerated crude oil, chemical solvents, and other compounds. MINIVAP VPS/VPSH is widely used in major refining enterprises, oil and pipeline companies, third-party independent laboratories, and automobile manufacturers, and has now become a standard instrument for laboratories in the petroleum and petrochemical industries.
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced and approved Grabner's MiniVAP series products as standard instruments, recommended for use by businesses and institutions across the United States.
MINIVAP VPS/VPSH, It is a standardized instrument designed and packaged independently, without the need to purchase any additional auxiliary equipment. The piston adopts * design technology, which not only enables automatic sampling and suction function, but also serves as the core component for volume expansion measurement function. Therefore, customers do not need to purchase expensive and bulky vacuum pumps separately. MINIVAP's advanced testing technology has been obtained and meets the standards of ASTM D6377 (crude oil) and ASTM D6378 (gasoline). This testing technique does not require tedious manual sample cooling operations or repeated air saturation processes.
This new technology has many advantages, such as greatly reducing the testing time of experimenters, lowering labor costs, eliminating operational errors of users, greatly improving testing accuracy, and ensuring no leakage hazards in product testing.

In the MINIVAP series, VPS is mainly used for routine quality inspection and control, while VPSH has stronger configurations, suitable for crude oil testing and research and development applications, such as volatility research at extremely low gas-liquid ratios during heating.

Product Features

The MiniVAP VPS saturated vapor pressure tester meets the following standards:

2. ASTM D5191- Equivalent Dry Vapor Pressure Determination

3. ASTM D6378- Determination of Gasoline Vapor Pressure (VP4)
4. ASTM D6377- Determination of Crude Oil Vapor Pressure
5. EN 13016-1- Determination of saturated vapor pressure of air
6. EPA approval: The standard instruments IP394&IP481 MiniVAP VPSH saturated vapor pressure tester comply with (in addition to complying with the MiniVAP VPS standards mentioned above): EN13016-2, IP409
7. Gas liquid ratio (V/L): from 4/1 to 0.02/1
8. A wider temperature range (see technical parameters below for details)

9. Relevant standards: ASTM D323 (Wet Red), D4953 (Dry Red) in the United States

Product Application

MiniVAP,Fully automatic saturated vapor pressure testerWidely used in large oil and pipeline companies as well as third-party independent laboratories.
The MiniVAP VPS product from Grabner, a company of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is a standard instrument recommended for use by businesses throughout the United States.

laboratory products

The application scope includes laboratory quality testing and control of gasoline and crude oil vapor pressure, as well as production site monitoring (using batteries). Minivap VPSH can also be applied to the study of volatility at extremely low gas-liquid ratios during heating.

Industrial online products
MiniVAP online products are used to monitor the vapor pressure of gasoline, crude oil, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Application scenarios

The application scope includes routine monitoring of vapor pressure of gasoline, gasoline oxygenated mixtures, and crude oil, rapid measurement in laboratory and production control, as well as on-site rapid screening and testing.

Piston technology
*The piston type measurement principle realizes automatic injection and expansion measurement, with high testing accuracy, simple operation, and no need to purchase and maintain a vacuum pump.
DVPE for gasoline
ASTM D5191 is a typical 'micro method' standard in the United States, which stipulates that the calculated value of DVP can be obtained through relevant calculation formulas using only 1 milliliter of sample without the need for vacuum. Before measurement, sample preparation includes cooling the sample to 0 ℃ (32 ° F) and performing three air saturation operations. You will find that Grabner provides better testing methods to avoid tedious cooling and air saturation operations! The standards ASTM D6377 and D6378 have become true milestones in vapor pressure testing. Based on advanced measurement principles, there is no need to prepare samples before MiniVAP testing.

Other features:

Only 10ml sample needed: 1ml for measurement (V/L: 4/1): 7.5ml for cleaning
Automatic sample introduction: optional 6-channel automatic sampler
No need for vacuum pump: using the acquired piston measurement principle
5-minute measurement time: Peltier temperature control
RS232 interface
MINIPIN-VAP control software
Compact and portable design for laboratory and field use (optional vehicle battery connector)

Determination of Vapor Pressure of Gasoline - Trace Method

The ASTM D6378 standard in the United States uses the 'triple expansion method' testing principle to determine the dissolved air in the sample.
This standard was developed by Grabner and does not require sample cooling or air saturation operations!

Standard method for vapor pressure testing of crude oil

ASTM D6377 in the United States uses the 'single expansion method' to determine the vapor pressure of crude oil. This method was successfully developed by Grabner company. The pressurized sample is transferred to the measurement chamber and expanded to the final volume by the built-in piston. The measurement accuracy of this method is superior to the classical ASTM D323 standard results (ASTM specifies the use of relevant formulas)
