Commonly used for component control and quality testing of tar, asphalt, paraffin, resin, rosin, lubricating grease, Vaseline, ointment, suppository, ointment, edible oils and fats. The instrument uses the cup ball method instead of the traditional Ubbelohde drop point method and the globe method to determine the softening point. It is anhydrous and glycerol free, making it easy to clean.
