GD series
The GD series can meet the vast majority of process applications. At an uninsulated set temperature of up to 430 ° F (221 ° C) and burst pressures ranging from. 25 to 150 PSIG (. 02 to 10.34 BARG), the diameter of the bursting disc can be supplied from 1/2 to 24 inches.
GDV series
The GDV series is suitable for vacuum medium applications. GDV rupture discs use one of four types of vacuum supports, requiring a burst pressure not exceeding 20 PSIG (1.38 BARG) under full vacuum conditions and a set temperature not exceeding 430 ° F (221 ° C) when not insulated. Please refer to the guidelines on page 4 for the required vacuum support types.
GDI series
GDI series rupture discs are used on standard ASME Class 150 and Class 300 flanges. The temperature characteristics of inverted discs are the same as those of GD bursting discs, but they provide higher bursting pressure.
GDL series
The corrosion resistance of GDL rupture discs extends to high oxidants, halogens, and almost all corrosive agents, except for free fluorine. The lining is used as a long-lasting barrier on the operating surface of the bursting disc. PTFE is the standard lining material, but other materials can also be provided upon request. In addition, these discs can also be used for setting temperatures up to 430 ° F without insulation.
GDT series
GDT rupture discs have two levels, one is overpressure protection and the other is vacuum protection. The temperature range of GDT rupture discs is from -290 ° F to 430 ° F (-179 ° C to 221 ° C), typically used on single inlet storage tanks or multiple discharge outlets.
GDHT, GDIHT, GDVHT series
High temperature grade GD, GDV, and GDI type rupture discs can be used at set temperatures up to 700 ° F. As shown in the figure, these bursting discs are included as an accessory component, as the nameplate rating of the bursting disc must be
It must be determined at the temperature of the insulated cold surface. GDHT, GDVHT, and GDIHT rupture discs use fiber silica gel and alumina, which are not suitable for liquid applications and are susceptible to corrosion by hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and concentrated alkali.
