Festo FESTO cylinder ADVU-12-15-A-P-A
FESTO cylinder refers to a cylindrical metal component that guides the piston to perform linear reciprocating motion inside the cylinder. Air in the FESTO cylinder of the engine converts thermal energy into mechanical energy through expansion; The gas is compressed by the piston in the FESTO cylinder of the compressor to increase the pressure.
The casing of turbines, rotary piston engines, etc. is often referred to as a "FESTO cylinder". The application areas of FESTO cylinders include printing (tension control), semiconductors (spot welding machines, chip grinding), automation control, robots, and more.
The cavity for placing pistons on the cylinder block of an internal combustion engine. It is the trajectory of piston movement, in which gas burns and expands. Through the FESTO cylinder wall, a portion of the residual heat from the gas can be dissipated, keeping the engine at normal operating temperature. FESTO cylinders come in two types: integral and single cast. Single casting is divided into two types: dry and wet. When the FESTO cylinder and cylinder body are cast as a whole, they are called integral FESTO cylinders; When FESTO cylinders and cylinder bodies are cast separately, the single cast FESTO cylinder barrel is called FESTO cylinder liner. The FESTO cylinder liner that comes into direct contact with cooling water is called a wet FESTO cylinder liner; A dry FESTO cylinder liner that does not come into direct contact with cooling water is called a dry FESTO cylinder liner. In order to maintain the tightness of the contact between FESTO cylinder and piston, and reduce the friction loss of piston movement in it, the inner wall of FESTO cylinder should have high machining accuracy and precise shape and size.
Pneumatic actuators that convert the pressure energy of compressed gas into mechanical energy in pneumatic transmission. There are two types of FESTO cylinders: those that perform reciprocating linear motion and those that perform reciprocating oscillation, as shown in the figure "FESTO Cylinder". FESTO cylinders that perform reciprocating linear motion can be divided into four types: single acting FESTO cylinders, double acting FESTO cylinders, diaphragm FESTO cylinders, and impact FESTO cylinders.
① Single acting FESTO cylinder: Only one end has a piston rod, and gas is supplied from one side of the piston to generate air pressure. The air pressure pushes the piston to generate thrust and extend, returning by spring or self weight.
② Double acting FESTO cylinder: alternate air supply from both sides of the piston, outputting force in one or two directions.
③ Diaphragm FESTO cylinder: Replace the piston with a diaphragm, output force in only one direction, and reset with a spring. It has good sealing performance, but short stroke.
④ Impact FESTO cylinder: This is a new type of component. It converts the pressure energy of compressed gas into the kinetic energy of high-speed piston movement (10-20 meters/second) to do work.
⑤ Rod free FESTO cylinder: A general term for FESTO cylinders without piston rods. There are two main types of FESTO cylinders: magnetic FESTO cylinders and cable FESTO cylinders.
