The TSE energy monitoring treadmill system is a fully computerized electronic control system suitable for the study of exercise physiology in mice and rats. The treadmill is driven by a servo controlled motor, providing precise user-defined speed configuration.

User friendly Windows software allows programming, storing, and running user-defined speed configurations, which are a combination of adjustable duration constant speed phases and acceleration/deceleration phases. The available speed range is 0.07-2m/sec, depending on the species being analyzed. The test mode allows the application of manually controlled electrical stimulation. The generated data file is compatible with all common spreadsheet programs and can be used for further statistical evaluation.

The treadmill system can also be used in a cool hot configuration (CaloTreadmill) for metabolic research.
