The EMCCD camera is based on the e2v CCD-201 back wired 1 "sensor. It combines high sensitivity, speed, and resolution, with a QE of up to 95%. It has strong reactions to both ultraviolet and near-infrared spectra. The EM gain enables it to provide electronic readout noise below 0.01. It uses a 16 bit A/D converter and a standard CameraLink output port.
