The Jig 400 was developed in collaboration with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the UK. Its small measurement area and unique sample placement system ensure precise positioning of components, making it highly suitable for measuring small areas, curved or complex shaped surfaces.

The 8mm 2 (0.01 square inch) measuring area of the ISO 400 glossiness gauge is approximately 3% of the area typically required by a standard glossiness gauge.
