Process diagram of high-efficiency autogenous mill	The working principle of an efficient autogenous mill is basically the same as that of a ball mill, but the difference is that its cylinder is larger and does not use steel balls or any other grinding medium. Instead, it uses the crushed material inside the cylinder as the grinding medium, continuously impacting and grinding each other inside the cylinder to achieve the purpose of grinding. Sometimes, in order to improve the processing capacity of the grinder, a small amount of steel balls can be added appropriately, usually accounting for 2-3% of the effective volume of the autogenous grinder (also known as a semi autogenous grinder).
