Product Details

Dow BW30-365

Effective membrane area: 365ft2/34m2

Inlet channel width: 34mil
Water production: 9500gpd/36m3/d
Desalination rate: 99.5 CI -%

The water production and desalination rate are based on testing conditions: water temperature of 250C, pH value of 8, recovery rate of 15%, test concentration of 2000ppm NaCl, 225psi (15.3bar), and effective membrane area within+/-3% of the given values. The water production of a single component may vary, but it will not be lower than the listed values by more than 15%

1. Operating limit:
Film type: Polyamide composite film
Maximum operating temperature: 1130F (450C)
Maximum operating pressure: 600PSI (41bar)
Maximum pressure drop: 15PSI (1.0bar)
PH range, continuous operation a: 2-11
PH range, short-term cleaning (30 minutes) b: 1-13
Maximum inflow rate: 85gpm (19m3/hr)
Maximum water supply SDI15: 5
Allowable free chlorine content C:<01.ppm
a. When pH>10, the maximum allowable temperature for continuous operation is 950F (350C).

c、 Under certain conditions, the presence of free chlorine and other oxidants can cause premature degradation and damage to the membrane. Due to the fact that oxidation damage is beyond the warranty scope of Dow film, it is recommended that users remove residual free chlorine through pre-treatment before contacting the film.

2. Important information

It is necessary to correctly start the reverse osmosis water treatment system to prevent damage to the membrane components caused by water flow or hydraulic shock when the membrane system is ready for operation. Following the correct startup sequence helps ensure that system operating parameters comply with design specifications, thereby achieving the predetermined design goals for system water quality and quantity. Before the initial startup program of the membrane system, the pre-treatment system debugging, membrane component loading, instrument calibration, and other system checks of the membrane system should be completed.

3. Operation Guide
During startup, shutdown, cleaning, or other processes, to prevent potential membrane damage, any sudden pressure or cross flow rate changes in the coiled components should be avoided. During the startup process, we recommend gradually transitioning from a static state to an operational state according to the following procedure:;

4. General Information
The water supply pressure should gradually increase within the time range of 30-60 seconds. The designed cross flow velocity value should gradually reach within 15-20 seconds. The product water should be drained within the first hour. Once the component is wetted, it should always be kept moist. If the user does not strictly follow the operating limits and guidelines set in this specification, the limited warranty will be invalidated. When the system is shut down for a long time, it is recommended to immerse the membrane components in a protective solution to prevent microbial growth. The standard storage solution contains 1.5% by weight of sodium bisulfite (food grade). Users should be responsible for the impact of using incompatible chemicals and lubricants on components. The maximum allowable pressure drop for pressure vessels is 50 psi (3.4 bar), and it is important to avoid back pressure on the water side of the product at all times.
