The magnetic stirrer drives the magnetic stirrer inside the container (usually a PTFE coated magnet) through a rotating magnet at the bottom, achieving contactless stirring. Its core advantage is to avoid mechanical seals and be suitable for sealing or high-temperature environments, but its stirring capacity is limited by the following factors:
Stir size and shapeSmall size stirrers (such as 5mm) are suitable for low viscosity liquids, while high viscosity liquids require larger sizes (such as 20mm or more) or special shapes (such as paddle or anchor).
speed rangeThe speed of a regular magnetic stirrer is usually 0-1500 rpm, and higher speeds are required for high viscosity liquids (which may require specialized equipment).
Torque limitThe torque of magnetic coupling is limited, and high viscosity liquids may cause the agitator to stop or slip due to excessive resistance.
Low viscosity peanut oilIf the viscosity of peanut oil is low (such as close to edible oil standards) and the stirring amount is small (such as 100-500mL), a regular magnetic stirrer combined with a large-sized stirrer (such as 15-20mm) may achieve basic mixing, but the efficiency is low. High viscosity or large amount of peanut oilSpecial high torque magnetic mixers (such as industrial grade or overhead mixers) are required, or mechanical mixers (such as paddle mixers) should be used instead.
Device Selection:
Laboratory grade: High torque magnetic stirrer (such as Guoli Tian ultra-thin series) is selected, paired with large-sized stirrer.
Industrial grade: If a large amount or high viscosity peanut oil needs to be mixed, it is recommended to use a top mounted mechanical mixer (such as a paddle or anchor mixer).

speedGradually increase from low speed (such as 200 rpm) to avoid stalling of the agitator.
temperatureHeating can reduce the viscosity of peanut oil (such as 60-80 ℃), but it is necessary to ensure the temperature resistance range of the mixer.
Stirring designChoose paddle or anchor agitator to enhance shear force.
Safety precautions:
Avoid friction between the agitator and the bottom of the container to generate heat (which may cause oil oxidation).
Ensure that the container material is oil resistant (such as glass or stainless steel) to avoid plastic container deformation.
