DBD series REXROTH direct acting relief valve companyThe DBD series REXROTH direct acting relief valve is used to limit system pressure (DB) or limit system pressure (DBW only has threaded connections). This valve assembly mainly includes the valve body and the insertion components of the relief valve. The pressure inside the pipeline acts on the valve core and acts on the ball valve core through the throttle hole. The pressure inside the pipeline exceeded the pressure value set by the spring, and the ball valve core overcame the elastic force and opened. At this time, the oil flowing out of the oil port flows into the spring chamber through the throttle hole and is guided into the oil tank through the external control channel. When the high-pressure fluid inside the valve core is in equilibrium, the oil flows into port B through port A while maintaining a constant set working pressure.

General rules for selecting DBD series REXROTH direct acting relief valves.

(1) Hot water boilers generally use unsealed wrench operated safety valves.

(2) Steam boilers or steam pipelines generally use fully open safety valves with wrenches that are not sealed.

(3) Liquid incompressible media such as water generally use closed micro opening safety valves or safety relief valves.

(4) High pressure water supply generally uses closed fully open safety valves, such as high-pressure water heaters, heat exchangers, etc.

(5) Compressed media such as gases are generally equipped with closed fully open safety valves, such as gas storage tanks and gas pipelines.

(6) E-class steam boilers generally use static weight safety valves.

(7) Pulse type safety valves are generally used for large-diameter, large displacement, and high-pressure systems, such as temperature and pressure reduction devices, power plant boilers, etc.

(8) Internal safety valves are generally used for transporting liquefied gas in train tankers, truck tankers, storage tanks, etc.

(9) Hydraulic safety valves are generally used at the top of oil tanks and need to be used in conjunction with breathing valves.

The basic components of these valves are: sleeve (1), spring (2), lift valve with damping piston (3) (pressure rating 25 to 400 bar) or ball (4) (pressure rating 630 bar), and regulating element (5).

The system pressure can be continuously changed by the regulating element (5). The spring (2) presses the lift valve (3) or ball (4) onto its seat. Channel P is connected to the system. The main pressure in the system acts on the lift valve area (or ball).

If the pressure in channel P rises and exceeds the value set on spring (2), the lift valve (3) or ball (4) opens away from spring (2). Hydraulic oil can now flow from channel P into channel T. The displacement of the lift valve (3) is limited by the protrusion (6).

In order to achieve good pressure settings across the entire pressure range, the entire pressure range is further divided into 7 pressure levels. One pressure level corresponds to a specific spring, which can be used to set the maximum working pressure.
