Contour roughness meterJB-6CIt is a precision measuring instrument that combines two into one, widely used in industries such as mechanical processing, automotive, bearings, machine tools, molds, precision hardware, optical processing, etc. The instrument drive box provides high-precision linear reference rails with different specifications of travel of 100, 120, and 150 millimeters. The sensors move in a straight line along the rails, and the displacement is collected using precision grating displacement sensors. Thus, the X coordinate measurement unit is established, and differential inductance sensors with two specifications from 10mm to 20mm are used in the Z-axis direction. The drive box can be horizontally adjusted by ± 10 degrees through the horizontal adjustment knob, and can be moved horizontally and vertically through the operation keys or software interface of the control box. The sampling shape can be proportionally enlarged. The instrument comes with a computer and measurement software, and the measurement software under the WINDOWS XP operating system is intuitive and convenient to operate, with rich functions, high accuracy, good stability, and easy printing output and file saving.
It can measure the roughness and contour shape parameters of various precision mechanical parts. The fitting method can be used to evaluate radius, angle processing, circle processing, point and line processing, as well as the angle and distance between the centers of two circles. Thus, shape parameters such as straightness, convexity, groove center distance, inclination, groove depth, groove width, groove edge distance, groove center distance vertical distance, horizontal distance, and steps can be measured.

What is the difference between a profilometer and a roughness meter?

1. Many people cannot distinguish between profilometers and roughness meters. Contour meters and roughness meters are not the same product. The main function of profilometers is to measure the contour shape of the surface of parts, such as the groove depth, groove width, chamfer (including chamfer position, chamfer size, angle, etc.) of grooves in automotive parts, and the straightness of cylindrical surface lines. In short, the profilometer reflects the macroscopic contour of the part. The function of the roughness meter is to measure the surface machining quality of the grinding/finishing process on the surface of the part. Simply put, it means that the surface of the part is machined smoothly (roughness is called cleanliness in the old national standard), which reflects the microscopic condition of the machined surface of the part.

However, when translated from Japanese products, there is no distinction between profilometers and roughness meters. According to Japanese product translation, it is called a "wheel profile measuring instrument", which can measure both the macroscopic and microscopic contours of the surface of the part. Therefore, there is another way to distinguish them: they are all called profilometers, those that can measure roughness are called roughness measuring heads (i.e. roughness measuring modules), and those that can only measure contours are called profilometers without roughness measuring heads.

This instrument can measure the roughness and contour shape parameters of various precision mechanical parts. Use the fitting method to evaluate arcs and straight lines, etc. Thus, shape parameters such as arc radius, straightness, convexity, groove distance, inclination, vertical distance, horizontal distance, and steps can be measured. This instrument can also test the surface roughness of various parts; It can test the roughness of flat surfaces, inclined surfaces, outer cylindrical surfaces, inner hole surfaces, deep groove surfaces, circular arc surfaces, and spherical surfaces, and achieve various parameter measurements. This instrument is manufactured in accordance with national standards GB/T3505-2000, GB/T6062-2001, GB/T10610-1998, as well as international standards ISO5436 and ISO11562.

The instrument drive box provides a high-precision linear reference guide rail with a stroke of 120 millimeters (150mm for 6CA). The sensor moves linearly along the guide rail, and the displacement is collected through precision gratings and inductive sensors. The drive box can be horizontally adjusted by ± 10 degrees through the horizontal adjustment knob, and can be moved horizontally and vertically using the control box's operation keys or software interface. The instrument comes with a computer and measurement software, and the measurement software under the WINDOWS XP operating system is intuitive and convenient to operate, with rich functions.

The instrument consists of a granite tablet, workbench, sensors, drive box, display, computer, and printer During measurement, different positions of the tested part can be selected, and various measurement lengths can be set for automatic measurement. The sampling data within the evaluation section can reach tens of thousands of points. And it can display or print the shape and size of the contour, various roughness parameters, and the supporting length ratio curve of the contour.
