The high-temperature rotary viscometer measures the viscosity value by continuously rotating the rotor immersed in the measured liquid to form a torque. The torque is proportional to the resistance formed by the viscous drag of the rotor immersed in the sample, and therefore proportional to the viscosity. This is the basic principle of using the rotor to measure the viscosity characteristics of the melt at high temperatures
