In the Chinese chromatography industry, when it comes to the N2000 series software, I believe everyone is familiar with it. The legend about it has been going on for more than a decade. It is said that over 100000 people are currently using it, making it a giant in chromatography software, with a market share that can compete with big data.

I heard that the earliest version of this software was the "upper" version, which is rumored to be a cracked version by Shimadzu. It is also rumored that Shimadzu's existing workstations are built based on this model. I don't know what this software looks like, it is said to have been developed on the "DOS" system, and when opened, it should have the classic black screen of "DOS". Its hardware should come with a card.

The earliest version I have seen is 3.2, and it is unclear whether there are versions such as 1.0, 1.7, 2.8. However, it is true that early software required serial numbers. Version 3.2 no longer requires a serial number. It is said that the entrepreneurial team removed the serial number in order to repay customers. At the input of the serial number, use your imagination and enter any character. This approach of returning to customers is highly commendable. As for the corresponding hardware, it seems to require a power cord and only a large gray box with an indicator light.

The next versions are 3.3, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. These brothers can communicate with each other, and now they are the ones who are showing off in the market. Among them, version 4.0 is the most stable and gradually stabilized to a classic level. The version I use the most now is also this version, with version 4.0 accounting for the largest share. In terms of software, apart from stability, there is no significant difference between different versions of workstations. After opening the "mdy" file in version 4.5, an error message will pop up. In terms of hardware, everything is the same except for the casing.

Now let's talk about version 6.0. This guy has many names, such as sp1 version and USB version. Actually, when version 6.0 was first released, it had a "golden body" aluminum casing. It cannot be considered a true USB interface, it just replaces a nine star serial port on the workstation acquisition box with a square port. The software that comes with the aluminum casing, version 6.0, was originally required to be registered in the early days. However, with a renewed spirit of dedication, registration was omitted and the package labeled "N2000 encryption not registered, modifications for jerk" was used directly.

The real "USB" version is coming next. It has a plastic shell, which is more compact and exquisite. It only needs to be connected to the computer with a USB cable, it's very simple. The USB cable here has dual functions of power supply and communication. The corresponding software is the "USB 2.0" package. The 6.0 version software solved the problem of printer incompatibility, but because USB is a non industrial communication method, it may cause instability when used in industrial products, so the "6.0" version and "USB" version did not become popular.

What we need to talk about after Zui is the 6.1 version that appeared after Zui in the N2000 family. It is an improved version of the classic 4.0 software. In terms of hardware, it's the same as version 4.0, except for the addition of a Mi dog - there's really no other way, piracy is too rampant in the market.

This workstation has undergone the following improvements:

1. Eliminating frequent error dialog boxes during data collection;

2. Clearly marked the "injection time" to avoid previous disputes over experimental time;

3. Added Mi Dog, anti-theft version.

(1) Currently, there are still rumors of N2010 and N3000 in the market. In fact, these are all transformations of N2000. They are not upgraded versions of N2000, but are made to meet customers' different requirements for operating styles. In terms of stability, it is still recommended to choose the classic N2000 version. The appearance of these two software and hardware is not much different from version 4.0 of N2000, only the labels attached are different.

(2) The current N2000 series software is written using old programming languages and platforms, and with continuous updates to the computer system, there have been some bugs that cause unstable functionality.
