Chashan Delta frequency converter maintenance hotline
Fault manifestationOC/OCc alarm during acceleration/deceleration/operation, possibly accompanied by explosion sound.
Root cause analysis:
Motor winding short circuit or grounding (such as U-V-W phase to phase short circuit)19
Abnormal driving circuit (such as driver IC explosion, voltage regulator breakdown)46
Sudden load changes or excessive inertia (resulting in current surges due to rapid acceleration and deceleration)19
Maintenance steps:
Disconnect the load and check if the frequency converter still reports OC. If an error is detected, focus on checking the IGBT and drive circuit of the inverter module1;
Measure the static voltage of the driver IC and replace damaged components (such as filter capacitors, resistors, optocouplers) in case of abnormalities4;
Extend acceleration and deceleration time, install braking resistors in heavy-duty situations19.
Fault manifestationAfter power on, there is no display on the panel and the fan does not turn.
Root cause analysis:
Switching power supply failure (abnormal control chip UC3844, rear stage short circuit)2
Rectification bridge breakdown or damage to current limiting resistor4
Maintenance steps:
Measure the DC bus voltage (normal 530V), if it is normal, rule out the previous stage problem2;
Check if there is a whistling sound in the switch power supply. If there is a whistling sound, it indicates a short circuit in the rear stage. Focus on checking the+5V/24V load circuit23;
Replace damaged switch tubes, pulse transformers, and rectifier diodes13.
Fault manifestationWhen decelerating or stopping, an OV alarm will be triggered.
Root cause analysis:
Input voltage exceeding the standard or power grid surge8
Motor inertia rebound voltage is too high (such as emergency stop of large inertia load)19
solution:
Installing three-phase reactors to suppress harmonics in the power grid6;
Extend deceleration time or install brake unit/resistor19.
typical scenarioAfter repair, the module exploded instantly upon startup.
key reason:
Hidden faults in the drive circuit (such as virtual soldering at the trigger end and loss of negative bias voltage)4
Directly apply high voltage without conducting low voltage testing6
Safety maintenance process:
Remove the damaged module and clean the carbonized circuit board4;
Simulate and test the balance of the driving waveform using low-voltage direct current (such as 24V)6;
Connect a 40W light bulb with current limiting protection in series before powering on, and remove it after confirming that there is no short circuit6.
trigger conditionInternal temperature>85 ℃.
Key areas for investigation:
The cooling fan stops running or the air duct is blocked813;
Environmental temperature exceeds the standard (such as insufficient ventilation in the cabinet)8.
Treatment measuresClean the dust on the heat sink, replace the faulty fan, and ensure that the installation distance is ≥ 10cm13.
