There are two methods for chamfering drill bits:

1) Complete the secondary process of chamfering after drilling;

2) The chamfering sleeve is assembled at the end of the drill bit, and the drilling and chamfering are completed in one go.

Chamfering drill bit*

The process is as follows:

1) Clearly specify the requirements and select the appropriate drill bit based on the drawing and aperture size. Generally, M3-M4 should choose a drill bit of around Φ 7, and M5-M8 should choose a drill bit of around Φ 9. When selecting a drill bit, check whether the drill bit is bent or deformed, whether the cutting edge is sharpened, and whether the grinding angle is correct. Install the selected drill bit onto the drill press clamp and fix it tightly.

2) Loosen the fastening wrench of the fixed seat of the work platform, adjust the gap between the top of the drill bit and the plane of the workpiece to be processed to be 5-10 millimeters. After pressing down the operating rod, the drill bit stroke should be equal to the gap+3 millimeters. Lock the work platform and the positioning adjustment screw nut.

3) Hold the workpiece to be processed with your left hand and place it on the platform. Align the chamfered hole with the drill bit. Press down the control lever with your right hand to bring the drill bit close to the edge of the hole, drill the fillet to the specified depth, lift the control lever to retract the drill bit to a safe position, and complete the chamfering work. Move the workpiece to the next hole to be chamfered and repeat the above actions. The * products that have been poured must undergo * inspection and can be mass-produced after passing the inspection.
