Overview

Humidification of the air conditioning unit is achieved by delivering water from the water tank to the top of the humidifier through a water sprinkler. The water is evenly sprayed onto the top of the wet film, and the sprinkler ensures that the water is evenly distributed onto the wet film material. Under the action of gravity, the water infiltrates downwards along the wet film material, wetting all layers inside the wet film and being absorbed by the wet film material, forming a uniform water film

Product Details

At present, there are various materials for wet film humidifiers used in air conditioning units, including organic wet films, inorganic glass fiber wet films, metal aluminum alloy wet films, and metal stainless steel wet films. Organic wet film materials are the most commonly used in the humidification sections of central air conditioning units, fresh air units, and computer room air conditioning. Below are our various wet film materials, and good wet films are available at Huayun.

Central air conditioning wet film humidifierworking principle

Humidification of air conditioning units is achieved by delivering water from a water tank to a water sprayer at the top of the humidifier. The water is evenly sprayed onto the top of the wet film, and the water sprayer ensures that the water is evenly distributed onto the wet film material. Under the action of gravity, the water permeates downwards along the wet film material, wetting all layers inside the wet film and being absorbed by the wet film material, forming a uniform water film. When dry air passes through the wet film material, there is a large area of contact between the dry air and the wet film surface, and the moisture fully absorbs the heat of the air and vaporizes and evaporates, thereby achieving the purpose of humidifying the air. During this humidification process, the humidity of the air increases and the temperature decreases, but the enthalpy value of the air remains unchanged.

The wet film material used for central air conditioning humidification, also known as Sedec, contains slow-release antibacterial agents. It is mainly made of plant fibers as the substrate, and after bonding treatment with special resin materials, it forms a corrugated board like cross-linked overlapping polymer composite material. It has excellent water absorption, good self-cleaning ability, non-toxic, acid and alkali resistant, mold resistant, and corrosion-resistant characteristics. The structure of wet film can provide the maximum contact area between air and its surface area, with a contact area of 500-600 square meters per square meter of film. The inclination angle of the film flow channel is 45 degrees.

Central air conditioning wet film humidifieradvantage

Power saving, which is 2% of the power consumption of electrode (electric heating) humidifier, no nozzle, no spray, no water dripping, no compressed air required. The filtered tap water (preferably pure water or softened water) enters the water tank, and the circulating water pump sends the water to the water distributor at the top of the humidifier, evenly distributing the water onto the high specific surface area evaporation material. The water seeps down from the top of the evaporation material and is absorbed by the evaporation material to form a uniform water film. When dry air is sucked into the humidifier by the fan, some of the water comes into contact with the dry air, absorbs heat, and vaporizes, making the air moist (increasing humidity). The other part of the water that has not evaporated flows back to the water tank and is repeatedly used through the circulating water pump. Evaporative materials have a purifying effect on the air, removing dust and harmful gases dissolved in water from indoor air.

Analysis found that the wet film direct drainage humidifier uses water from the tap water pipe, which is about 5 ℃ lower in temperature due to the lower outdoor temperature in winter. The wet film circulating water uses water from the water tank, which has absorbed a lot of heat from the air due to repeated circulation, and the water temperature is close to 20 ℃. In theory, the enthalpy value of low-temperature water is relatively low, and the heat absorbed from the air when it changes from liquid to gas is also large. Often, water forms a wet film at the top and flows to the bottom before it vaporizes. At this time, although the water temperature rises, it flows away in vain, causing energy waste and not reaching the predetermined humidification amount. After the wet film circulating water humidifier works for a period of time, the water temperature will be relatively high, and the enthalpy value of water at this temperature is much higher than that of winter tap water. Therefore, gasification is relatively easy and the humidification effect is good. In air conditioning units, direct drainage wet film humidification methods should be minimized or not used as much as possible.
