Plate and frame filter press is a mature dewatering equipment, which is widely used in sludge dewatering projects in Europe and America. The filter press arranges filter plates and filter frames with filtrate passages in parallel and alternately, with filter cloth sandwiched between each group of filter plates and filter frames. The filter plates and filter frames are compressed with a clamping end to form a filter press chamber between them. Sludge flows in from the feed inlet, water is discharged from the filtrate outlet through the filter plate, and the sludge cake accumulates on the filter cloth inside the frame. After the filter plate and frame are released, the sludge cake is easily peeled off. The cast iron plate and frame filter press equipment has a large weight and volume, stable performance, simple operation, high solid content of the filter cake, and strong applicability.

The plate and frame filter press is suitable for suspensions with high compressibility or near incompressibility of filter residue. The filtering area can increase or decrease with the number of frames used. The frame is usually square, with filter plate sizes ranging from 320mm to 1200mm, filter cake thickness of 25-30mm, and filter area of 1-180 square meters. Box filter press:
The working principle of the box filter press is that the plate and frame filter chamber consists of a flat filter plate and a hollow filter frame, and the filter cloth is fixed on the plate and frame. The main advantages of a box type filter press are convenient replacement of filter cloth, low loss during feeding, fast filtration speed, high temperature and high pressure resistance, good sealing performance, uniform washing of filter cake, low moisture content, and uniform pressure in each filter chamber, which is not easy to damage the plate. It is basically suitable for all solid-liquid separation industries.
