Overview

CTAB (Hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide) 1631 bromine type, a cationic surfactant and antibacterial agent, belongs to quaternary ammonium compounds. Its activity can be neutralized by soap or anionic detergents (such as SDS), and CTAB can form insoluble complexes with SDS. Under alkaline conditions, CTAB has bactericidal effects on both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. CTAB can also be used for the extraction of high molecular weight DNA (rapid method) and plant DNA for PCR analysis, as well as for the precipitation of nucleic acids. In addition, CTAB can also be used to: 1) enhance the agglutination mediated by concanavalin A

CTAB (Hexadecyltrimethylammonium Bromide) 1631 Bromine TypeShanghai Shengwei Chemical Raw MaterialsThe limited company is mainly committed to the production and sales of CTAB hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (70%) 1631 bromide type.

Product Description:

Hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide, abbreviated as CTAB, is a cationic surfactant and antibacterial agent, belonging to quaternary ammonium compounds.

In addition, CTAB can also be used to: 1) enhance the agglutination mediated by concanavalin A; 2) Determination of protein molecular weight in protein electrophoresis; 3) Determination of CMC value of detergent; 4) As a titrant used for potentiometric titration of perchlorates, etc.

CTAB (Hexadecyltrimethylammonium Bromide) 1631 Bromine TypeIt is currently one of the most extensively studied cationic surfactants.
Hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) is a quaternary ammonium salt containing a long hydrophobic alkyl chain, known as amphiphilic. In polar solutions, hydrophobic ions interact to form discrete aggregates with hydrophobic nuclei and polar surfaces, known as micelles.Application areas: Antistatic agents and softeners for synthetic fibers, natural fibers, and glass fibers, as well as drawing agents; Emulsifiers for natural, synthetic rubber, silicone oil, and asphalt; Hair conditioner for conditioning hairauxiliary; Leather fatliquor; Phase transfer catalyst; Disinfectant for silkworm rooms and utensils. Sewage membrane cleaning agent.

application

A buffer solution was prepared for the determination of organic acids in wine by capillary zone electrophoresis using 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid indirect UV detection method.
