Overview
CS-150 Color Brightness Meter is a new generation portable three stimulus colorimeter used by Konica Minolta for measuring light sources and emitting objects. It is typically used for flat panel displays, signal indicators, and non-contact surface color measurement. The design of these two instruments retains the main features of the previous version, but is equipped with new functions and parameters, higher accuracy, and a wider measurement range.

Product Introduction

Handheld portable instruments enable single point measurement of color and brightness

The CS-150 and CS-160 color brightness meters are lightweight and compact in appearance, powered by batteries, and can be used to measure various brightness conditions and non-contact color measurement. These two new generation instruments are outstanding successors of the CS-100A, with improved functionality and performance. These two instruments have a wider measurement range and their new sensors have better consistency with the CIE 1931 color matching function.

To achieve precise brightness measurement, the relative spectral sensitivity of the measuring instrument should match the photopic sensitivity of the human eye, represented by the CIE spectral luminous efficiency V (λ). In addition to performance improvements, the correlation between CS-150 and CS-160 and V (λ) has also been improved, and the measurement range has greatly increased to 999900 cd/m2 (CS-150) and 9999000 cd/m2 (CS-160).

Main applications

1. Measurement of chromaticity and brightness of LEDs and other small light sources.

2. Measurement of chromaticity and brightness of tungsten filament lamps and fluorescent lamps.

3. Color measurement of newly painted walls and other surfaces that cannot be touched.

4. Surface color measurement of complex shapes and other objects that cannot be touched due to hygiene reasons.

5. Measurement of chromaticity and brightness of signal lighting, including railway signals, road signals, and aviation signals.

6. Measurement of chromaticity and brightness of color display screens.

7. Brightness measurement of black and white display screens.

8. Measurement of chromaticity and brightness of video projectors.

Main features

1. Lightweight body and easy to carry

The CS-150/160 has a lightweight and compact body, powered by batteries, and weighs only 850g (excluding batteries). Both of these ergonomic portable instruments come with a carrying case (standard) for easy long-term transportation and operation.

2. SLR (Single Lens Reflector) optical system

The CS-150/160 single lens reflex design ensures that there is no difference between the indicated area in the viewfinder and the actual measurement area. The simple and easy-to-use SLR optical system design has almost no interference from stray light, eliminating the influence of external illumination light in the measurement area, thereby ensuring measurement accuracy.

3. Single point measurement in small target areas

The 1 ° measurement angle of CS-150 can measure areas with diameters as small as 14.4 mm (at a distance of 1014 mm); When using the optional close-up lens, it can measure areas with a diameter as small as 1.3 mm (at a distance of 205 mm).

The 1/3 ° measurement angle of CS-160 can measure areas with diameters as small as 0.4 mm (when installing a close-up lens 110).

4. Provide color data for three stimulus values

It can quickly measure the color of objects within the measurement area without being affected by the surrounding area, and does not require contact with the sample.

5. Color difference measurement

Once the target color is set (by directly inputting numerical values or measuring numerical values), color difference measurement can be performed, making it easy to achieve fast and simple color management.
