Cable stayed bridges have flourished in bridge construction due to their beautiful appearance, economical use of materials, and large span distance. A cable-stayed bridge is supported by three parts: towers, cables, and beams. Among them, the cables are the key components, and the entire bridge deck load is borne by the cables. The irregular load-bearing of the bridge causes significant stress changes in the cables, which are completely exposed to the external atmosphere and directly subjected to temperature changes, ultraviolet radiation, and erosion from wind, frost, rain, and snow. The working conditions are very unfavorable. Therefore, in the development and application of cable-stayed bridges, research on the materials and structures of cable-stayed cables has become a focus of attention.
