81280 is a unique tool as it can be used as a traditional phase meter, or as an independent voltage detector on primary or secondary voltage or capacitance test points for instrument probes.

81280 has the following characteristics:

Can be used as an independent voltage detector without the need for a second probe

A traditional phase meter suitable for both overhead and urban rail transit

Phase capacitance testing point

A large analog instrument that is easy to read

Instrument casing Shielding to minimize stray field indications as much as possible

An insulated (35kV) interconnecting cable with a second probe

Each probe has impact resistance and waterproofness

The instrument is stored in a highly durable padded suitcase

The 5-digit selector switch consists of the following parts:

C - represents the voltage at the capacitance test point

CP - Phase measurement using capacitance test points

L - Detect voltage on overhead and underground power lines

Phase of LP Elevated and URD Main Systems

BT - Use internal battery voltage to test internal instrument circuits, and the instrument should deflect to full scale

OFF - Used for storage

2kV - Range 0-1999 volts

20kV - Range 0-1990V

35kV - Range 0-34900V
