Raman technology is particularly suitable for process monitoring, product identification, remote sensing, and measurement of highly scattered particles in aqueous solutions. Raman technology was discovered by Indian physicist Raman, and its principle is to measure the inelastic scattering effect of photons.
Avantes company uses high-sensitivity AvaSpec spectrometer and 532nm or 785nm laser to obtain better Raman measurement results. The spectral range of the spectrometer is completely configured based on the wavelength of the laser.
The AvaRaman TEC spectrometer adopts a third-order refrigeration system, which can keep the operating temperature of the detector 30 ℃ lower than the ambient temperature and consistently maintain it at 5 ℃, greatly reducing dark noise. Due to the use of PID controller, the temperature change of the detector can be stabilized at ± 0.1 ℃. AvaRaman spectrometers come standard with AvaSoft Raman software and powerful Raman analysis software Panorama Pro, which can perform Raman spectroscopy recognition and chemical functional group identification.
Avantes also has multiple models of Raman probes, which users can choose according to their own applications.
