Ultra fast spot color measurement

Processing a chart with 1500 color blocks takes approximately 4 minutes from inserting the color chart to outputting measurement data. In addition, the FD series can obtain results through a single measurement under various standard measurement conditions (M0, M1, and M2), so only one scan of the color chart is required.

To ensure accuracy, the instrument scans at a series of ultra high speeds: it accurately locates the FD-9 color sensor at each measurement point, then stops the scanning action, measures that point, and after completion, moves to the next measurement point.

Free Chart Format

The automatic color block detection function allows printed materials that mix color blocks with images or illustrations (such as example chart 2) to be measured without the need for a pre-set chart definition file, so existing charts can continue to be used. At the beginning of each measurement, FD-9 pre scans the chart through an image sensor, automatically detects measurement points, and then scans and measures the detected color blocks. The automatic detection function of color blocks also means that the markers used by traditional colorimeters to detect the position of color blocks are no longer needed.

In addition, a grid measurement can be used to measure a chart where the entire page is filled with color blocks, such as example chart 1, to distinguish which printed areas have uneven colors.

Automatic paper feeder (optional accessory)

The selected automatic paper feeder can simultaneously load up to 100 charts into the feeder and perform continuous measurements.
