Ankerui ARD motor overload protectorOverview:
The ARD2 series intelligent motor protector (hereinafter referred to as the protector) can protect against various situations such as starting timeout, overload, phase failure, imbalance, underload, grounding/leakage, blockage, short circuit, external faults, etc. that occur during the operation of the motor. It also has SOE fault event recording function, which facilitates on-site maintenance personnel to find the cause of the fault. Suitable for fields such as coal mining, petrochemicals, smelting, electricity, ships, and civil construction. This protector has an RS485 remote communication interface and DC4-20mA analog output, making it convenient to form a network system with PLC, PC and other control machines. Realize remote monitoring of electric motor operation.

■ Blocked rotor protection (starting overcurrent protection): During the starting process of the motor, if the motor shaft is stuck due to excessive load or mechanical reasons, and the fault is not resolved in time, it will cause the motor to overheat, reduce insulation, and burn out the motor. Blocked rotor protection is suitable for protecting the motor when such faults occur during starting.
During the operation of the blocking protection motor, if the motor shaft is stuck due to excessive load or mechanical reasons, and the fault is not resolved in time, it will cause the motor to overheat, reduce insulation, and burn out. Blocking protection is suitable for protecting the motor when such faults occur during starting, and blocking protection is suitable for protecting the motor when such faults occur during operation; When the current reaches the set action current, the protector will trip in a timely manner within the set tripping (delay) time to avoid motor burnout.
Under load protection: When the load carried by the motor is a pump type load, the no-load or under load operation of the motor will cause harm. The protector provides under load protection. When the percentage of the average current of the three phases to the rated current is lower than the set value, the protector should trip within the set tripping (delay) time.
During the operation of the unbalanced protection motor, when the three-phase current imbalance rate reaches the protection set value, the protector will protect according to the set requirements, issue an alarm or trip signal, making the operation of the motor safer. The three-phase unbalance rate represents the ratio of the maximum difference between the three-phase current and the average current to the maximum value of the rated current and the average current. Action time error: within the range of ± 10% of the fixed action time. Protection action characteristic: When the imbalance rate is greater than the set value, the action will be taken.
■ Grounding/Leakage Protection -23- The protector has both grounding protection and leakage protection functions (users can only choose one of them). The grounding current is composed of three-phase current vectors and superposition. The leakage current is detected by adding a zero sequence transformer. If the leakage current is greater than the set fault current value, the protector will trip within the set tripping (delay) time to ensure personal safety.
Short circuit protection: When the operating current of the motor exceeds the set protection current, the protector will protect according to the set requirements and trip within the set tripping (delay) time.
External fault protection: When an external fault occurs and the external fault switch is closed, the protector detects the input of an external fault signal and trips within the set tripping (delay) time.
■ Phase failure protection poses great harm to the motor during operation. When the motor experiences a phase failure, the protector protects it according to the set requirements and issues a trip command, making the operation of the motor safer.
Ankerui ARD motor overload protectorAttention:
1. In the 4-20mA analog output, 20mA corresponds to twice the rated current of the motor.
2. The direction of the three-phase current passing through the primary circuit must be consistent, otherwise it will cause grounding protection errors.
3. When the protector is equipped with grounding/leakage protection function, it is recommended to use shielded wires to introduce the protector from the leakage current transformer, otherwise it may cause inaccurate measurement data.
4. The rated current of the motor is set according to the actual rated current of the motor, without the need for amplification or reduction.
5. Once the protector trips, it must be reset before restarting the motor after troubleshooting, otherwise the motor cannot be started.
6. Motor cooling time: After the motor overload protection is activated (fault displayed as hEAt), due to heat accumulation, it can only be reset after cooling.
7. After modifying the parameters, a reset operation must be performed to make the current set parameters valid.
8. In actual use on site, due to unreasonable parameter settings of the protector, it may cause the motor to be protected or have no protective effect when it moves together. At this time, all protection functions can be turned off, and the various protection parameters of the protector can be reset based on the various parameters measured by the protector during normal operation of the motor.
9. If the various protection parameters set by the protector are appropriate, but the protector is activated when the motor is driven together, search for the cause of the fault based on the action code displayed on the protector.
10. The various setting parameters of the protector at the factory are set by default (except for special user requirements), and users can turn on various protection functions and set various parameters according to their actual needs during use.
11. Unless otherwise specified by the user, the connection line between the transformer and the protector is assumed to be 1m.
12. If the user has special requirements (such as single-phase motor protectors, connecting wire lengths, etc.), they must be specified in the order.
