1、 Principle of ultrasonic stress relief
Ultrasonic amplitude measuring instrument is a device specifically designed for measuring ultrasonic amplitude. Used for measuring the output amplitude of equipment such as ultrasonic plastic welding, spot welding, cutting, sonochemistry, and cell lysis. It can also measure the output amplitude of ultrasonic transducers, ultrasonic amplitude rods, and tool heads separately.
When the ultrasonic vibration part comes into contact with the testing rod of the ultrasonic amplitude measuring instrument, the testing rod will undergo telescopic movement, and the amplitude will be displayed on the monitor through high-precision sensor measurement. Ultrasonic amplitude refers to the amplitude of ultrasonic welding equipment, usually with a frequency between 10kHz and 60kHz and an amplitude between 1 μ m and 200 μ m. Due to the high frequency and small amplitude, it is difficult to measure and requires high measurement accuracy. Common testing methods are powerless against it, making it difficult to measure. Generally, only laser vibrometers can be used for measurement to obtain good results. But laser vibration measurement equipment is expensive and complex to operate. Production units and professional research and design units rarely use it.
In general, for ultrasonic welding, whether it is ultrasonic plastic welding or ultrasonic metal welding, four parameters can be used to describe it. In other words, the effectiveness of ultrasonic welding depends only on four parameters, namely frequency, time, pressure, and amplitude. The first three parameters, which are easy to control, adjust, and display, are well understood by both equipment manufacturers and users, and have been given sufficient attention. They are also adjustment parameters in the daily operation of the equipment. The amplitude (displacement) of ultrasonic vibration is a key indicator of ultrasonic equipment and also the most difficult physical quantity to measure and understand. Apart from experts and scholars, not only the users of the equipment, but even most equipment producers are not very concerned about it. We have compiled the user manuals for the vast majority of ultrasonic random equipment, but there is little explanation about the amplitude of ultrasonic waves, including the physical meaning of amplitude, amplitude control and adjustment, and the relationship between amplitude and welding quality.
The amplitude of ultrasonic vibration directly represents the magnitude of ultrasonic output energy, and is also related to the strength of related materials and the service life of the whole machine. The importance of ultrasonic equipment cannot be overemphasized for both manufacturers and users of ultrasonic equipment.
