Conductivity sensor 4319/4419

Conductivity is a key parameter for determining several fundamental physical properties in seawater. The conductivity of seawater is mainly related to temperature and the amount of dissolved inorganic substances in the water. Therefore, the salinity of seawater can be obtained by measuring conductivity, temperature, and depth. The definition of salinity is the concentration of dissolved solids in seawater, and many other important parameters in seawater also depend on salinity, such as sound velocity and density.

The conductivity sensor 4319 adopts the principle of inductive measurement. Compared with the electrode method, the inductive measurement method has the characteristics of long-term measurement stability and resistance to biological pollution. The 4319 conductivity sensor can output data through two methods: AiCaP CANbus and RS-232. The AiCaP method can output conductivity and temperature, while RS-232 can output conductivity, temperature, salinity, density, and sound velocity.

The conductivity sensor 4319 can be integrated into the Andra Ocean Guardian platform, used as an observation node in the observation chain system, or on the SmartGuard intelligent data acquisition device, and can automatically identify.
