Analysis of ceramic powder liquid DkDF using AET dielectric constant testerMicrowave Dielectrometer
Analysis of ceramic powder liquid DkDF using AET dielectric constant testerMicrowave Dielectrometer

The device is called Microwave Dielectrometer, developed specifically for electrical design of wireless and high-speed digital devices. It is aimed at engineers and material developers, aiming to enable anyone to easily achieve high-precision dielectric constant measurement. The system provides multiple measurement methods for different measurement objects and frequency requirements.
AET provides three core measurement modes, each targeting different forms of materials:
Applicable subjectsPCB substrate, film, resin, glass, and ceramics, etc.
characteristicBased on JIS C2565 standard, using the electric field variation of the central axis of the cylindrical cavity, it is suitable for measuring the tan δ of low dielectric loss materials such as PTFE or high-purity ceramics.
parameterFrequency: 1GHz~10GHz, Dk range 1-30, Df range 0.1-0.0001, accuracy Dk ± 1%.
Sample RequirementsSlender strip (width 3mm, thickness 0.05-1mm, length>80mm).
Applicable subjects5G communication materials, high-speed signal transmission flexible circuit boards.
characteristicSpecially designed for thin films with a thickness of less than 0.3mm, the frequency can reach 40GHz, and the fixed gap design ensures measurement stability.
parameterFrequency: 10GHz~40GHz, Dk range 1-5, Df range 0.01~0.0001.
standardCompliant with JIS R1641 and IPC-TM650 2.5.5.13.
Applicable subjectsFinished components such as phone cases, connector molds, etc.
characteristicNon destructive measurement using evanescent waves (near-field) at the opening without the need for sample processing.
parameterA single resonator can measure 5 frequency points (covering 0.8GHz to 18.4GHz), with a Dk range of 1-15.
Technical BackgroundDeveloped in collaboration with the Maeda Research Laboratory at the University of Tokyo, under the special license number 3691812.
Powder/LiquidFill the sample with a quartz tube and determine the dielectric constant by calculating the filling rate based on true density; It can also be used for precise measurement of low polarity solvents.
Cable materialSpecialized resonator design allows for high-precision measurement of wire insulation materials such as foamed PTFE.
Ultra low loss ceramicsUsing a dielectric resonator, ceramic cylinders sandwiched between conductor plates resonate, suitable for materials with Df below 0.001.
hardware configurationComposed of resonators, network analyzers (supporting Keysight, Anritsu, Rohde&Schwarz, and other brands), and control PCs.
Recommended equipmentCompact USB Vector Network Analyzer MS46122B (frequency options cover 1MHz to 43.5GHz).
software operationEquipped with specialized software, simple operations can be achieved through the measurement wizard interface.
Service SupportAET provides dielectric constant measurement services based on rich experience, and can choose the best measurement method according to customer needs.
This measurement system covers a wide range of material forms from powders to finished shells through modular design, and combines 5G high-frequency testing requirements to provide a comprehensive solution for material research and quality control.
